My photo journal is a way for me  to express the candid and
explicit love affair I have with  photography. Others,  just  of
my daily encounters. All are 100 percent real and I wouldn't
trade them for the world. If you blog any of my  imagery,  be
awesome and please give me photo credit. Enjoy!

I am one of those individuals that is very anti-interviews. I always turn them down for two reasons. One, I don't see the point and two, all of the questions people as me are pretty
fucking stupid. If you are going to interview someone, at least come correct with some interesting shit. Last month someone finally asked me questions with substance so I rolled with it.
Michael from a Canadian Newspaper did a really good job on actually reading the shit I post on here. I truly feel if anyone is interested in my boring life, they can find out anything
they want to know if they just took the time to read the gibberish that I write. I know, actually reading is soooooooo eight years ago!

Danny Magallanes aka Steezy, 28, is a photographer from Los Angeles who runs a project called Simply Steezy- a nickname given to him in 2004.
“A good friend and I were always going out to clubs in Hollywood. This was way before photography. The only thing that mattered to me was partying, girls and looking good. One
night, a girl said, ‘You’re one of the steeziest dudes here.’ Before long, everyone called me Steezy or D.Steezy.” ‘Simply’ was added because it reflected his simplistic perspective on
life. Photography entered his life two years ago after picking up a Canon Rebel XTI. “As soon as I started taking photos, I couldn’t stop. The photos were shitty but I didn’t care. I was
eager to learn and would spend countless hours on Google watching tutorials on the mechanics and composition. “As soon as I had enough images, I felt it was time to build a
website. I taught myself how to use HTML to form what is now known as simplysteezy.com,“ said Steezy. His photography consists of female models wearing his newest project, Steezy
clothing. Expect lots of nude shots, with his personality inserted to make his work stand out from the crowd. “I try to balance everything out and keep the nude work very honest, but with
high intensity and lots of energy. Playing, laughing and flirting goes on while I’m shooting my female models. People always say, ‘You shoot porn.’ No, I shoot life. Nudity, sex, flirting
and playing. That shit’s a part of life. Growing up, his father was a hustler and his work ethic rubbed off on Steezy. He calls his mother his best friend. “My mother is the most amazing
woman ever. I’m thankful and appreciative for her and my three older sisters. I feel she and my father have shaped me into a person who refuses to give up, be bullied or taken
advantage of. “I also have a very caring heart but it takes a lot for you to earn that. Some people think I’m the biggest asshole and some will tell you I’m the sweetest guy. He uses that
attitude to give advice for people struggling with uncertainty in their future, something Sheridan students can relate to. “Stay positive. Not all of us have a talent, but all of us have
something that makes us genuinely happy. Find it and pursue it with everything you have. Money comes and goes, but what is in your wallet or bank account should never define you.
If someone is there at your highs and lows, treat them like gold.” Steezy sticks to that positive attitude and has shown improvements in his work every year while trying to take it to
another level. “A lot of people think I suck at everything on a creative platform. Tons of people said I can’t do something. When I first started taking photos people would laugh and no
models wanted to work with me. “My lighting has changed and my creativity on set is getting more and more advanced. Before, when I would shoot, I would call my friends and a few
models over. We would get drunk to the point where in the morning all you see is naked bodies on the floor and a camera full of amazing images. That still happens in my personal
work but I see now that my professional work requires my full concentration.” Entering his third year of photography, Steezy aims to have his first solo exhibit at a gallery in Los Angeles,
to get commissioned to shoot for at least four new publications as well as building his client list. He started Steezy Clothing seven months ago and is planning a winter release, which
will include handmade accessories. He recently taught himself how to sew and says all the pieces “are made of the highest quality, yet very subtle on the eyes.”
